Step-by-Step Switch Process

Step 1: আপনার Contract Read করুন

Step 4: Notice Send করুন, Recorded Delivery-তে

Phone call বা email-এ notice দিতে যাবেন না, সেটা easily disputed। Recorded delivery (Royal Mail Tracked / Signed-for) লিখিত notice send করুন।

Letter-এ যা থাকতে হবে:

আপনার merchant ID / company name / VAT number
Contract reference (statement-এ থাকে)

Step 5: Worldpay-এর Confirmation এবং Hardware Return

Notice receipt সাধারণত Worldpay 7-14 দিনে confirm করে। Confirmation-এ:

Final settlement date
Hardware return address
Termination fee invoice

Hardware return:

Worldpay-specified address-এ pack করে send করুন
Damage charge হয়, terminal scratch, missing accessory checked
Despatch receipt (postal tracking) keep করুন as proof of return

Step 6: Final Settlement Track করুন

Notice end date-এ contract শেষ। কিন্তু শেষ days-এর card sale-এর settlement আরো 2-3 days পরে আসে। এই settlement যেন পুরোপুরি payments হয়, track করুন আপনার bank statement-এ।

কখনো Worldpay শেষ settlement-এ delay করে। Disputed হলে written-এ অভিযোগ করুন, phone-এ না।

যা trap-এ পড়বেন না

1. Auto-Renewal Anniversary-এ

Anniversary date পার হয়ে গেলে আরো এক বছর contract চালু থাকবে। তাই notice anniversary-র অন্তত 90 days আগে send করতে হবে (notice period 90 days হলে)।

Example: Anniversary 15 March, notice period 90 days। আপনাকে 14 December-এর আগে notice send করতে হবে।

2. Bundled POS / EPOS Contract

কিছু Bangla restaurant Worldpay-এর সাথে Lightspeed, Toast, EposNow-এর মতো POS bundle-এ আছেন। POS contract সাধারণত আলাদা, separately exit করতে হবে। Confirm করুন আপনার agreement-এ POS অংশ আছে কিনা।

3. “We’ll Match the Rate” Counter-Offer

Notice send করার পর Worldpay account manager থেকে call আসতে পারে, “wait, আমরা rate কমাবো”। Counter-offer entertain করতে পারেন:

Pros: Hardware migrate করতে হবে না, staff retraining না, settlement disruption না
Cons: Rate match করলেও Worldpay-এর historical service issue, settlement speed Dojo-র সাথে compete করতে পারবে না সাধারণত

আমার suggestion, quote written-এ নিন, switch decision rate alone-এ না, settlement speed এবং customer service-এও weigh করুন।

4. “Service Termination Fee” Disputed হলে

কিছু legacy contract-এ termination fee আসলে enforceable না (আপনি contract initial period শেষ করে fully out-of-term-এ চলে গেছেন)। Statement-এ “minimum 12-month commitment” বা “early exit fee” mention থাকলে, termination fee জারি হলে dispute করুন। Trading Standards / FCA complaint route আছে।
